Savory Bread Pudding Strata

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Smithfield® Ham, diced and cooked
  • 1 lb. Smithfield® Breakfast Sausage, chopped and cooked
  • 1 lb. Smithfield® Bacon, chopped and cooked
  • 16-24 oz French bread, 1-inch dice
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 lb. asparagus, diced
  • 8 oz baby portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 3-4 Tbsp butter
  • 8-12 eggs
  • 10-14 oz half and half
  • 3 Tbsp granulated garlic
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Gouda cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place diced bread in a large bowl with cooked meats.
  3. Cook onion, bell pepper, asparagus and mushrooms in sauté pan with melted butter until soft.
  4. In separate bowl, whip eggs, half and half, granulated garlic.
  5. Add cooled cooked vegetables to the bowl. Stir to combine..
  6. Add cheese and place in vessel of choice.
  7. Bake for 25-45 minutes and serve.
