Ham and Fig Monte Cristo Sandwich

Ingredients
- 2 oz Smithfield® Ham, sliced
- 2 slices brioche bread
- Yellow mustard, as desired
- Mayonnaise, as desired
- 3 slices Swiss cheese
- Fig jam, as desired
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
- Powdered sugar, as desired
Beer Batter
- 1 cup flour
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup beer

- Place brioche bread on a flat surface. Spread mustard on one slice and mayonnaise on the other.
- Add Swiss cheese, ham and fig jam to the bread.
- Combine both sides of bread to make a sandwich.
- Combine all ingredients for the batter. Whisk until the batter is smooth.
- Pour oil on a frying pan and warm.
- Dip the sandwich into the batter and evenly coat it around the sandwich.
- Put the sandwich into the hot oil and cook for 3 minutes on both sides, or until golden brown.
- Remove sandwich from oil when it reaches desired crispiness. Cut sandwich in half and finish with powdered sugar. Serve with additional fig jam on the side.
