Bacon and Braised Cabbage

- 1 lb Smithfield® Bacon, cut into 1 ½ inch pieces
- 1 head red cabbage, shredded

- In a large pot, steam cabbage until slightly soft, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until soft and lightly brown, but not crunchy.
- Remove bacon from skillet and keep covered.
- Add cabbage to skillet. Cover and cook until cabbage is very soft and has absorbed bacon flavor, 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add bacon pieces and stir until heated through, 1 to 2 minutes.
