• 1 kaiser roll, split
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 leaves romaine, cut to fit bread
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 pieces Smithfield Canadian Bacon, prepared (recipe follows)
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon honey mustard

Batter for Canadian Bacon:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 oz milk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 oz cornmeal
  • Oil, for frying

  1. Spread mayonnaise on inside of bottom half of roll.
  2. Layer romaine, tomato, prepared Canadian bacon on roll.
  3. Drizzle Dijon honey mustard over bacon, and then replace top of roll.

Batter for Canadian Bacon: 

  1. Whisk egg and milk together.
  2. Create 3 separate plates: flour, then egg/milk mixture, then cornmeal.
  3. Dredge Canadian bacon in flour, then egg/milk mixture and then cornmeal.
  4. Pan-fry in shallow amount of oil until crispy and golden.
