Sweet and Sour Spareribs
- 25 lbs. Smithfield Smoke’NFast Spare Ribs, thawed
- Five-spice powder
- 2 cups plum jelly
- 1 cup hoisin sauce
- 1 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- Heat slow-roasting oven to 250°F. Sprinkle desired amount of five-spice powder on all sides of ribs. Place ribs in single layer on foil-lined shallow baking pans. Slow cook ribs 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours until tender.
- Meanwhile, combine all remaining ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Drizzle sauce over ribs halfway through cooking.
